Kineticism (anglicky) - Zdeněk PešánekThat the future of art lay in electricity and new technologies had already been foreseen in the 1920s by sculptor and experimenter Zdeněk Pešánek. He himself worked with light, music and electricity in his art and created light-kinetic sculptures. He strove to implement a newly created technique – kineticism. This unique publication, which was ahead of its time, presented the concept of kinetic art and also Pešánek’s own schema of lit up pianos, fountains, fireworks and neon signs. Descriptions are accompanied by numerous photographs and sketches. Kineticism is published today in the same graphic style as its first edition in the 1940s. It is complemented by a foreword from Peter Weibel and an afterword by Tomáš Pospiszyl, two of the most renowned contemporary experts in art and new technology. Umění budoucnosti spočívá v elektřině a nových technologiích, předvídal už ve 20. letech 20. století sochař a experimentátor Zdeněk Pešánek. Sám umělecky pracoval se světlem, hudbou a elektřinou a vytvářel světelně-kinetické sochy. Snažil se o prosazení nové výtvarné techniky – kinetismu. Tato unikátní publikace, která předběhla svou dobu, představuje koncept kinetického umění a také vlastní Pešánkova schémata světelných klavírů, fontán, ohňostrojů či neonových reklam. Popisy jsou doprovázené četnými fotografiemi a nákresy. Kinetismus nyní vychází ve stejné grafické úpravě jako první vydání ze 40. let. Je doplněné předmluvou Petera Weibela a doslovem Tomáše Pospiszyla, největších současných expertů na umění a nové technologie.
