The editors encourage submissions from scholars working in various disciplines with interests in American and British cultures, as well as articles with interdisciplinary perspectives on those cultures. We also devote a portion of the journal to outstanding student contributions. Since 2011, the journal has been enlisted in The National Index of Peer-reviewed Scholarly Periodicals published in the Czech Republic.AMERICAN AND BRITISH STUDIES ANNUAL (ABSA) je odborný recenzovaný časopis založený v roce 2008 na Katedře anglistiky a amerikanistiky Fakulty filozofické Univerzity Pardubice. V současné době vychází jako ročenka zaměřená na široké spektrum témat amerických a britských kulturních a literárních studií. Cílem časopisu je vytvořit vědeckou a publikační základnu nejen v rámci České republiky, ale i mezinárodně. Časopis otiskuje dosud nepublikované odborné články v anglickém jazyce týkající se různých aspektů amerických a britských kulturních dějin, britské a americké literatury, výtvarného umění, hudby a dalších kulturních jevů a rovněž recenze nových knižních publikací v oboru.
