Published in 1858, this ambitious but incomplete history of the Abbey of St Augustine, Canterbury, was compiled by Thomas of Elmham (1364-1427?) around 1414. It is notable for his scholarly use of primary sources (many of which were in fact corrupt, or outright forgeries) to support the Abbey's privileges.
