Handbook of Artistic InvestigationThe Handbook of Artistic Investigation introduces the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague's Laboratory for Art, Research and Graduate Education (LARGE) and its approach to artistic research. Bringing together contributions by Czech and international artists and researchers, the publication explores how research in and through art is conducted, how it generates knowledge, and how it relates to other fields of inquiry. Designed in the visual language of a technical manual, the book integrates essays, diagrams and images through a carefully structured colour-coded system that translates conceptual frameworks into visual form. Mapping both the traditions and emerging directions of artistic research at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, the publication offers an accessible introduction to one of the field's most dynamic areas of practice. Published in English. Contributors: Silvia Costin, Markéta Dolejšová, James Elkins, Irina Gheorghe, Anetta Mona Chişa, Vladimír Kokolia, Patrik Pelikán, Anne-Françoise Schmid, Ben Woodard, Aleš Zapletal Příručka uměleckého výzkumu představuje Laboratoř pro umění, výzkum a doktorské studium (LARGE) Akademie výtvarných umění v Praze a její přístup k uměleckému výzkumu. Publikace, která přináší příspěvky českých i zahraničních autorů, zkoumá, jak probíhá výzkum v umění a prostřednictvím umění, jakým způsobem vytváří poznání a jak se vztahuje k dalším oblastem bádání. Kniha, jejíž vizuální jazyk vychází z podoby technické příručky, propojuje eseje, diagramy a obrazový materiál prostřednictvím důmyslně strukturovaného systému barevného kódování, který převádí konceptuální rámce do vizuální podoby. Publikace mapuje tradice i nově se rozvíjející směry uměleckého výzkumu na Akademii výtvarných umění v Praze a nabízí přístupný úvod do jedné z nejdynamičtěji se rozvíjejících oblastí umělecké praxe.
